This Carbon Reduction Plan has been prepared in accordance with PPN 006 and the associated technical standard and guidance for the completion of Carbon Reduction Plans. It sets out the organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions, the basis on which they have been measured, and the measures in effect to manage them.
CustomLens AI Limited is a UK-registered developer of cloud-hosted clinical software. The organisation has no manufacturing operations, no owned or leased premises, and no vehicle fleet. Its emissions arise principally from business travel undertaken by UK-based personnel.
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: 1-Jul-2025 to 30-Jun-2026
This is the first year in which CustomLens AI Limited has measured its greenhouse gas emissions. In accordance with the technical standard for the completion of Carbon Reduction Plans, the first reporting period has therefore been adopted as the baseline. The baseline year and the current reporting year are the same, and the emissions reported in each are identical.
Emissions have been accounted for using the operational control approach, in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. The carbon footprint covers emissions from sources within the United Kingdom.
CustomLens AI Limited operates without company premises. UK-based personnel work from home offices which are not owned, leased or controlled by the organisation. Associated emissions are therefore reported under Scope 3, Category 7, rather than under Scope 2.
Certain functions, including software development, are performed by third-party organisations under contract. These organisations are not under the operational control of CustomLens AI Limited, and their emissions fall outside the reporting boundary. Emissions associated with contracted services and purchased goods fall within Scope 3, Category 1, which is not among the five Scope 3 categories required by the technical standard for the completion of Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been calculated in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e) using the UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors for company reporting published for 2026.
Business travel emissions from air travel have been calculated for each individual flight sector using great-circle distance between published airport reference points, one passenger per sector, and the applicable UK Government conversion factor for the route and cabin class.
Homeworking emissions have been calculated for UK-based personnel using the UK Government homeworking conversion factors for office equipment and heating, expressed per full-time-equivalent working hour and applied to total working hours in the reporting period.

This is the first year in which the organisation has measured its greenhouse gas emissions. The figures reported in this plan establish the baseline against which future progress will be assessed. As a single reporting period does not yet provide a basis for meaningful trend analysis, the organisation has not set a quantified interim reduction target in this first plan. Interim targets will be established in future iterations of this plan as further reporting periods are completed.
The organisation is at an early stage of development and expects to grow, including through additional personnel and increased commercial activity. Absolute emissions may therefore increase in the short term as the organisation scales.
Future interim targets will be expressed on an intensity basis, measured as emissions per UK-based full-time equivalent employee, so that progress can be assessed independently of changes in organisational size. The organisation will keep the choice of intensity measure under review as its activities develop, and may adopt an alternative measure where this would provide a more meaningful indication of performance.
The organisation’s emissions arise almost entirely from business travel, principally international air travel, together with a smaller contribution from domestic travel within the United Kingdom. The principal means of reducing emissions are therefore a reduction in travel frequency, substitution of travel with remote collaboration where this is practicable, and selection of lower-emission travel options where travel is necessary.

This is the first year in which CustomLens AI Limited has measured its greenhouse gas emissions. The emissions reported in this plan establish the organisation’s baseline. No carbon reduction initiatives have been completed against that baseline in the reporting period, and no reduction is therefore reported.
The organisation intends to introduce a documented business travel policy setting out the circumstances in which travel is undertaken and the modes of transport to be preferred.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and the associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard, and use the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by the board of directors of CustomLens AI Limited.
